I am very glad to find this site and very impressed that a lot of Korean-Chinese are well active in this website.
First of all, I apologize that I have to write in English. My PC(personal computer) does not have Hangul software, so I can not write in Hangul. But I can read Hangul posts or mails through the encoding without any problems.
Let me introduce myself.
I am a so-called Korean-American who has been living in New York City for the last 20+ years as a medical doctor. Honestly speaking, I know many Chinese who came from China to USA and Chinese-American who were born here or naturalized ones like me. But I am very sorry to say that they are not my true friends(I will explain that in the future).
In fact, my deceased parents used to live in Tomen, Gando=Manchuria before 1945. One half of my 9 siblings (=means brothers and sisters) were born in Tomen (i was born later unfortunately or fortunately). Fortunately, they escape to the North Korea two months before 8/15/1945 and then to South Korea during the Korean war in 1950-53. So I have always wanted to contact any Korean-Chinese people in Jilin province. My father's sister who is my aunt used to live in Mok-dan river area. All I know about her is her name and approximate her age (now she would be 90s if she is alive). My father told me before he died that she did not escape to the North or South Korea. So she must have lived there or hopefully she still is alive there...or at least her children must be living there now! I would like to know if anyone would help me to find her or her children (send me an email please at mastergkk@yahoo.com and you may be entitled to get a reward from me if you really help me finding them).
Second, I would like to communicate with as many possible Cho-sun-jok as possible. And if they are qualified legally and willing to come to America not for making money but for studying to advance Cho-sun-jok in Manchuria than Han-jok, I am ready and willing to help anyone mentally financially with my $$$ scholarship. Please let me know through email.
Finally, I am very glad to say hello to every member or non-member (very sorry to say so in not Hangul but English and forgive my poor English).
Thank you so much for your time to read my poor thought.
Cordially
Dr. Kim
PS.
Some of the member received my emails already. If I offened you with my email, please forgive me. Thanks my brothers and sisters
